Appointments, Availability & Fees

Appointments for Counselling and Psychotherapy in Stockport and Buxton.

I work from two locations.

I am based at the South Manchester Centre for Psychotherapy on a Thursday afternoon with appointments available for psychotherapy and counselling.

Appointments available as follows:

Thursday afternoon between 1.15pm – 5.15pm

The centre provides a comfortable relaxed and professional environment for our work.  Stockport is easily accessible from South Manchester and Cheshire including Sale, Chorlton, Bramhall, Hale, Macclesfield, Handforth, Gatley and Didsbury.

I also have a consulting room at my home in Buxton where I see people on a Wednesday and Friday morning.

How to Contact Me

I am contactable by phone or email and I am available to answer the phone Tuesday to Friday 10am until 5.30pm.

If you call me and I don’t answer immediately, please either leave me a message or send me an email.  I respond to emails once a day and generally reply within 48 hours.  I will then arrange a time for us to have a telephone conversation which usually takes about 20 minutes and where we can both find out a little more about each other and whether we may wish to work together.

I take a long break over the summer and regular breaks about every 6 weeks throughout the year during which time I deal with emails and messages on a Monday only.   Dates for 2019/2020 are as follows:

Therapy Clients

I keep names, addresses and contact details of my therapy clients in a lockable filing cabinet in my office.

I use a paper diary for my appointments, once we begin working together I will use an acronym made up of your initials to identify you in my diary.  If I have your number stored in my mobile telephone then I will use this acronym to identify you.

I keep a record of attendance as my clinical notes of the session, records are kept for 12 months following the date of us ending working together. At this point I will delete any emails or telephone numbers from my system and confidentially destroy any paper records.

You can request copies of any information I am holding on you at any time.
