The CPD and Supervision Group is a mixture of teaching, supervision and reading activities offering a dynamic and stimulating experience of learning and thinking together as a group. The sessions are for practitioners wanting to build their theoretical knowledge and develop their clinical work. There are four core topics covered each year and these are transference, ethics, culture and relational theory. Topics for the rest of the year are listed below.
How does it Work?
Timing is 9.00am until 1.30pm
The day will begin with a short check in to allow the group to get settled. If it is a teaching session we will begin the day with a one hour teach on the advertised topic and this will provide an initial focus for the group. If it is a reading group session then we will begin with an hour’s discussion of the reading material. Attendees are then invited to offer their own topics and requests for supervision.
The group’s topics will form the agenda for the remaining time. Topics for discussion might be supervision of clinical work, ethical dilemmas, application of the taught theory to clients, support with exam work, tape and transcripts of work.
Teaching notes are provided for teaching sessions. Teaching sessions are recorded and uploaded to a dedicated section of my website within 48 hours of the session. As part of the fee you get access to the sessions you have attended for the rest of the year along with any additional resources and materials.
Working Online
I have been running online supervision groups for some time using Zoom as the platform. It allows for group interaction and is a stable and secure. I send out a protocol with some guidance on how to get the best from working online in a CPD and supervision group.
Who is it For?
These sessions are for practitioners who are in clinical practice. The group will work across all modalities for counsellors, psychotherapists and supervisors. The focus of the day will be Humanistic and Transactional Analysis.
Fees and Group Structure
The group will operate as a closed group with a maximum of 8 places per session.
The cost is £60 per session and to join the group you are asked to book for a minimum of 5 sessions. There are a maximum of 10 sessions available.
Fees will be invoiced after each session using Stripe.
If you have not worked with me before please also book a free 20 minute intake session so we can get to know each other a little before the CPD session.
Cancellation Policy: Once committed to the group no refunds apply. If you are not able to attend a session you have booked you are at liberty to see if another member of the group wishes to take up your place.
